Hate Deleting Photos from Your Phone? Print them instead!

Do you have a ton of vacation photos or photos of your family and friends on your smartphone?

Tired of looking at them on a small screen and wish you could include them in your home décor, too?

Very few handheld devices feature USB ports to connect to your printer, and virtually none come with printer software.

If you’ve got a wireless printer at home or in your office, you’re in luck!

  • Airprint for Apple Products – Printing from an iPhone or iPad is enabled easily on a wide range of common at-home printers. You can print full quality photos direct from your device without any additional apps.
  • Use apps for non-Airprint printers – If your printer is wifi-enabled but doesn’t support Airprint, you can download an app to link your phone and printer.
  • Cloud Print for Android Products – The Google Cloud Print app is easy to download and connects easily with a variety of common household printers. You can also print hard copies of any documents on your Google Drive for easy access! Download from the Google Play store to get started.

See more of our tips for high-quality photos from your phone on our website!

Essential PPE During COVID-19

As Michigan gets back to work, you're probably wondering how you can stay safe at your office as an employee, or for CEOs and managers, wondering how to keep your customers, clients, and employees healthy.

Developing a back-to-work plan is essential, and so is having the correct personal protective equipment.

The key feature of the coronavirus is respiratory symptoms, such as dry coughing. It primarily spreads through saliva droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes. That being said, the most essential personal protective equipment items to have on hand in the office are:
  • Face masks
  • Gloves
  • Hand Sanitizer
Face masks protect healthy individuals by preventing them from breathing in saliva droplets of an infected person. The average worker should wear a cloth face mask and practice social distancing in the office.

Hand sanitizer is likely something you already have in your office. Quicker and more convenient than washing hands, the high alcohol content can kill some viruses until you’re able to wash thoroughly with soap and water.

The Importance of PPE in the Workplace

You’ve likely heard a lot about personal protective equipment (or PPE) over the last few months as COVID-19 has spread across the country.

PPE protects its user against many forms of physical harm or hazards in the workplace. Industries like manufacturing and mining have been using PPE as preventative measures to keep employees safe, and now PPE like hand sanitizer, masks, gloves, and face shields are becoming commonplace.

You know that PPE can make the difference between someone spreading COVID-19 and staying safe, but do you know how to implement PPE in your office building? If you’re not a business that usually keeps these items on hand, it can be hard to know what to buy, and how much.

Go Green with Your Employees by Recycling Toner Cartridges!

Recycling in general is a great way to bring your office together for a cause. You might be doing this already – having a recycling area for scrap paper, or bottles and cans in the office kitchen. Why not start doing this with ink cartridges too?

Here’s why recycling printer ink is important:

  1. Nearly 8 cartridges are thrown away per second in the United States alone.
  2. It takes one gallon of oil to make a mew laser cartridge.
  3. About 70 percent of used printer cartridges are being thrown away instead of recycled.
  4. A laser cartridge in landfill can take up to 450 (!) years to decompose, but some components can take over 1,000 years!

Encourage your staff to recycle cartridges after they’re no longer usable instead of throwing them away!
